Design: Tom Dixon & FRONT
Concept:
Tom Dixon and FRONT have created an incredibly beautiful pendant in a completely unique design. The lamp is made using a special metallising technology that makes the look fully unique. The first of its kind. The lamp is transparent when on and you can see the interesting play of colours. When the lamp is off it has a mirror-like look. The Melt lamp has a neat organic and natural expression. The pendant is designed in a collaboration between Tom Dixon and the Swedish design collective FRONT. The ideas behind the design is a mixture of wanting to create an expression of three peculiar things: melted glass, a melting glacier and a picture of space.
Melt Pendant is available in five colours: Chrome, Copper, Gold, Smoke-coloured and Blue respectively. Furthermore, the lamp is available in two different sizes; the big one has Ø48 cm and the small one has Ø27 cm.
