The designer behind Thorup Copenhagen

The young Danish designer Kasper Thorup has since the completion of his education at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2017, been busy creating his own. With his design studio, Thorup Copenhagen, he has already designed a number of impressive products. Slightly untraditionally, his design ideas start away from the drawing board, out in nature, or other places where most people would have a hard time finding the idea for a lamp. A proof of Kasper's ability to produce fascinating designs was his participation in the DR1 program '' Denmark's next design classic '' where the participants had to create an innovative piece of design. Here, Kasper designed and produced, among other things, the Noel chair, which has already achieved large recognition.

The cartridge series

With their Patrone series, Thorup Copenhagen has created a collection of lamps based on the idea of timeless quality design that must be able to fit into every home. An idea that has been realized, by using only materials of the highest quality, as well as the best local Copenhagen craftsmen. Patrone is a lamp that clarifies Kasper Thorup's ability to go into detail with a product. Everything from the design and materials to the manufacturing method has been thoroughly thought out, to manufacture elegant, long-lasting lamps, ideal for the modern as well as the classic home.

Thorup Copenhagen - A young brand

Thorup Copenhagen "only" dates back to 2017 and is, therefore, a relatively young brand, but that certainly does not mean that it is not worth keeping an eye on, on the contrary. With the Patrone series, Kasper Thorup has proven his interesting approach to Scandinavian design, which is without a doubt extremely impressive. Clean lines, high-quality materials, and designs that do not have to be flashy, but instead rely on the beautiful and stylistic in the simple, are just some of the things that make Thorup Copenhagen an incredibly exciting brand, which will definitely be very interesting to follow on their journey.
