Concept:
The lamp Local has its origin in the atmosphere in simple pubs and relaxed restaurants where the glow of light under soaring lamp shades create cozy social settings. With that starting point, designer Jonas Wagell has created a straightforward and harmonic hanging lamp which serves as a frame for presence and good times. Local consists of a soaring spun steel shade with a simple and welcoming silhouette. Traditionally, spun lamp shades have a fold of the metal at the edge to strengthen the shape. With Local, this fold takes the leading role of the shape. Instead of the traditional fold, the rim at the edge has been enlarged and integrated in to the spun shape so that it presents as a neat detail. The lamp is intended for private and public environments alike and works well on its own or in repetition throughout a big room. The expression is calm so the lamps can be multiplied without taking over the interior. With its friendly shape, the Local lamp will contribute to a nice and cozy atmosphere. The lamp is made of steel with powder coating. The lamp comes with a canopy and a 4 metres fabric wire. E27 socket. Bulb not included.
