Design: Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra
Concept: The beautiful LCM armchair was designed by the married couple Charles and Ray Eames in the mid-1940s. LCM is the abbreviation for Lounge Chair Metal. Over many years, Eames experimented with new techniques to find the optimal adaptation and shaping of plywood. This resulted in the LCM Armchair. The thin wooden shells that make up the back and seat of the LCM chair support the body with their softly curved surfaces and add a high level of comfort to the chair. Known for its functional, versatile and aesthetically pleasing design, the LCM chair is a valuable addition to any space.
