The Fromme bar stool was designed by Canadian designer Tom Chung, who was inspired by his personal experience of cycling. He rode his bike up Fromme Mountain just outside of Vancouver and was fascinated by the level of technicality in his bike. He tried to incorporate this technique and efficiency into the most common object: A chair. This has resulted in several Fromme chairs that, with a shock-absorbing effect under the seat, provide a high degree of comfort and flexibility, in addition to the fact that the chair can be used both inside and outside.
The Fromme series from Petite Friture is a series of aluminum furniture that can be used indoors and outdoors. The fine details bring the various pieces of furniture in the series beautifully together and tie the indoor or outdoor space together in a unified, elegant and charming environment. The chair seats and the table tops have the common feature of almost floating on the frame, as the assembly is done vertically on the frame, which gives a light finesse and degree of detail that gives the series personality and charisma.
