Design: Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen, 2022
Concept: With the goal of creating a chair with a fully cast appearance that naturally integrated seat and frame, Simon Legald designed the Form chair for Normann Copanhagen. The original chair was designed without upholstery and was later updated with a number of beautiful upholstery. Through an innovative and stylish solution, where the legs were mounted in four cast forms at the bottom of the seat, Normann Copenhagen has achieved this elegant cohesion between seat and legs. It gives the feeling that the legs almost grow out of the seat, which highlights the high craftsmanship quality of the design. The soft shapes and the minimalist design give a nice and timeless element, to the fine details and since the chair comes in different variants of bar stools and dining table chairs, it can be used in many places in the home and give a beautiful Nordic mark to the interior. Form Stacking is a development of the classic Form chair, which, as the name suggests, can be easily stacked and has a slimmer frame than its predecessors.
