Design: Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost for DCW Editions
Concept: In the sun Behind this beautiful and different lamp series, there is a small funny story about how the design was created. When the Pavillion Dufour at the Chateau de Versailles was to be renovated, Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost wanted to create a lamp that was to be a kind of tribute to the Sun King, Louis XIV. Thereby the ''In the Sun'' series was created. The lamps' shade, which is available in either gold or chrome, is made of mesh. When the light from the bulb shoots through this mesh net, you can clearly see how the lamp's light plays with the shadows. The light cast from the lamps is beautiful and interesting to look at, and In the Sun can therefore be placed in any room and immediately attract attention. The series is available both as a pendant, a wall lamp and a transportable table lamp.
