The original Crate Collection was designed by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld in 1934 with the aim of using surplus wooden shipping containers. Now the collection has been relaunched in a collaboration between Rietveld Originals and HAY. Respectful of the original design, the Crate Low Table shares the same precisely balanced proportions and transparent construction to minimize production costs and optimize the assembly process.
