by Lassen

As well as it was when the Lassen brothers first designed their furniture, it is still by Lassen's philosophy today, about design that shines through: '' It's about the feeling. When you sit in a piece of furniture or step into a room, it all has to hang together. It's the feeling that tells whether it's good design or good architecture ''

Popular designs from by Lassen

One of the probably most popular products from by Lassen is the world-famous Kubus candlestick which was designed by the Danish Mogens Lassen. Going from being a product that was only given to his family and close colleagues, to being a piece of internationally recognized design, was hardly the development Mogens Lassen intended for Kubus. However, the simple square candlestick has won large praise around the world, and the beautiful candlesticks are still produced in Denmark, just as they always have been. Another iconic design from by Lassen that you can not help but love is the charming and warm armchair '' The Tired Man '' designed by Flemming Lassen in 1935. An almost exaggerated armchair that with its soft shapes and inviting expression, creates its very own cozy atmosphere wherever it is placed.

Designers from by Lassen

The creators behind many of the very popular by Lassen products are the brothers, Mogens and Flemming Lassen. Already as young people, the Lassen brothers were clear that their calling was in the world of architecture and design, and at a young age they spent a long time reading books on architecture. Their ability to create original and interesting products still has an influence on the designs produced by by Lassen. The design legacy has been passed on by Mogens Lassen's grandson, Søren Lassen, who is behind a larger range of by Lassen's products. Below you will find, among other things, the extremely beautiful and special Frame cabinets, whose design is based on Mogens Lassen's Cube design.

The story behind Lassen

by Lassen's history originally started many years ago, when Mogens and Flemming Lassen became interested in designing products. The brothers laid the foundation stones for what we know today as the city of Lassen, with their nose for design and architecture. The Lassen brothers were among some of the first Danish designers to work with functionalist architecture and design style, something that can still be clearly seen today in a larger number of their designs, especially Mogens Lassen's Cube, which follows the very stringent and geometric shape.

Today, by Lassen is focused on continuing and reintroducing the classic and iconic designs that Mogens and Flemming Lassen have designed through the ages. Among their large assortment of designs, careful selection is made, which must once again be put into production.
