“Put your feelings into furniture” This month, AndLight is teaming up with Montana to bring you a unique experience that merges art and furniture design! February is often associated with love, which makes the month the perfect occasion to combine our love for good design with an artistic project! For this collaboration Montana and AndLight invited Copenhagen artist Joakim Søby to decorate one of Montana's most iconic designs by adding emotion, personality and edgy art! "Being able to express my own personal art and having to use these classic modules as my canvas has been an exciting project! For me, it's an amazing opportunity to be able to contribute with a bit of edge and creativity!". In 2022, Montana celebrated their 40th anniversary, where the French artist Camille Walala decorated the entire exterior of their factory on Fyn, Denmark with colors and modular geometric shapes! The artwork became a beautiful statement that celebrates colors and embraces Montanas' new tagline saying: 'Let's create playful spaces', with which they want to encourage the world to use more color! Our mission with this project is to ignite a spark of self-expression and individuality in the way you engage yourself with your furniture. We strive to inspire and empower you to think beyond the ordinary and personalize your choice of furniture in a way that truly speaks to your unique style and personality. Join us on this journey of creativity and heartfulness, as we work together to make your home a reflection of you. Shop Montana designs here "Behind the void of darkness there is light and love. It has given me the inspiration to paint stories that express the different stages in life, the emotional ups, and downs, that shape our individual history" - Joakim Søby Joakim Søby “I see the significance in what the human body can portray. My fascination with the human body arose while studying to be a physiotherapist. Later, graduating from the Academy of Acting in Copenhagen gave me insight into the interplay of human bodies and expressions - of feelings and senses we portray through monologues, dialogues songs, and movement. Behind empty spaces of darkness, joy and revelations are created” - Joakim Søby |
