We only need to look back a few years, to see where this trend really began to take off. When the EU Parliament in 2009 made a plan on phasing out the old incandescent bulb due to the huge CO2 emissions, manufacturers began to seriously play with the idea and development of innovative
LED bulbs
.
In addition to being far more environmentally friendly, these bulbs are also incredibly energy efficient and provide new options for controlling and personalizing your light. In addition, the bulb can now in itself carry a lamp design and this has resulted in new trends with free-hanging and decorative LED bulbs.
One of the major players in innovative LED lighting is
Tala
, who dedicated themselves to making both functional and beautiful LED bulbs for any occasion. Above, you can see their unique and beautiful

LED light sources offer several benefits
As you have heard before, there is not only a much cheaper consumption price when using LED light sources - in addition to this, they last much longer than both the incandescent and the energy-saving bulb. In relation to recycling, LED bulbs are also 97% recyclable, while the energy-saving bulb is sorted as hazardous waste and is therefore not recyclable.
But what exactly should you look for when buying an LED bulb?
It is recommended to always look at the socket type and dimensions so that you are sure that the bulb fits exactly your lamp. They come in all possible sizes and shapes - if you are in doubt about which one to use, it says on the lamp which bulb it uses - it will also be noted on the product page, prior to ordering.
A general misconception about LED lighting is that LED bulbs provide a cool lighting. It's just a matter of choosing the desired color temperature.
LED bulbs are measured in the color temperature Kelvin (K). In general, Europeans typically use 2700 Kelvin, which gives a warm white light, which we also know from halogen lamps and incandescent bulbs. If a warmer and more subdued mood light is desired, 2200 Kelvin is recommended - This is often used in "filament" bulbs like Tala Voronoi. If you want a more formal and functional atmosphere light, which shines more clearly and with white color tone, 3000 Kelvin is recommended.
Besides Kelvin, it is always good to choose a bulb with a CRI above 80. The CRI index describes the quality and color rendering of the light. The scale goes from 0-100 and if you choose a bulb above 80 CRI, you are guaranteed a high quality bulb and a nice light that reproduces colors correctly.
It is also worth noting that the vast majority of LED bulbs have an incredibly long lifespan. With a high quality LED bulb, you can usually achieve about 20-30,000 hours of ignition time, which is equivalent to approx. 3.5 years of uninterrupted use. Furthermore, this does not mean that the bulb will go out after this time has passed, but there is a risk that it will lose some of its power over time.
This is also important to know when you buy a lamp with a built-in LED lightbulb. It is not always possible to replace the LED module in this type of lamp, but with 3-4 years of on-time and a durable lightbulb, the lamp can easily serve you for 10 years or more.

Climate change and corporate contributions
The growing awareness of sustainability over the past few years has thankfully been seriously integrated into many companies' mindsets. One of these companies is, as mentioned, Tala, a relatively young company that has a great desire to contribute to a more sustainable future.
One of the company's ways to reduce their footprint is to donate to three organizations that plant trees around the world:
The Heart of England
, the
National Forest Foundation
and
Weforest
. When buying a Tala product, you support these causes directly.
Popular LED light sources
Furthermore, Tala is known for breaking boundaries of what is possible within LED technology. Their range consists of both classic and more modern LED light sources. With their new models, they have more sculpted and unique bulbs like
Voronoi ll LED
and
ENNO porcelain LED
. Their wide range of LED light sources makes it possible to decorate, for almost any taste and combine their light sources in any room. Tala consciously strives to have the most beautiful design and the best quality. Their wide range of LED bulbs include both classic, oval, traditional, candle shaped bulbs and unique, innovatively shaped bulbs.
Integrate the LED bulbs in your home
As you can see in the pictures, there are so many combinations and places in the home that LED bulbs come into their own. They create a cozy and atmospheric feel in the room. In the pictures you can see them in combination with each other, which works really well and allows you to be as creative as you want and achieve a beautiful uniqueness. They also work really well simply standing or hanging. The pictures show, among other things, a
pendant
over a coffee table and over a shelf, which works really well.
The table lamps
works well on the bedside table, shelves and on chests of drawers. Notice how they have chosen to put the lamps on the books and magazines, which also create a beautiful detail. It is only the imagination that sets the limits for your design of the lamps.
