Celebrating Female Designers Design Portrait: Signe Bondgaard, Design student at Kolding Design School Created by Anine Johnsen, March 4, 2026
Where a Student Project Became Reality As part of her first-year exam, Signe designed a portable outdoor lamp called the MOVA lamp. After completing the project, she shared it on LinkedIn. The post caught the attention of Dyberg Larsen - and what began as a student prototype soon evolved into a professional collaboration. Today, we are proud to present the MOVA lamp at AndLight Inspired by Nature The MOVA lamp was designed to bring life outdoors, encouraging people to use every corner of the garden and connect home and nature. Signe focuses on simplicity, tactile materials, and timeless forms. For her, design shapes everyday experiences, not just objects. Shop MOVA Lamp The Courage to Be Visible The collaboration with Dyberg Larsen began because Signe shared her work. She emphasizes that visibility and initiative are essential in a fast-moving industry. “Don’t wait until you feel ready - you grow by doing.” Her advice to young women in design: trust your perspective, share your projects, ask questions, and stay true to your ideas, even when working with many stakeholders.
