Product information
Design: Bent Karlby for LYFA, 1946

Concept: PEANUT 175

A lamp designed on the basis of Bent Karlby's hatred of the then prominent fluorescent tubes. His negative attitude towards the cold and bright light that fluorescent tubes offered meant that he choose to go the direct opposite way and create a lamp that has soft shapes as well as a pleasant light.

The PEANUT lamp houses a design that over time has only become more popular. The stylish mouth-blown opal glass, combined with a top and bottom in brass, creates a lamp that would no doubt fit in anywhere in the home, whether it hangs over the dining table, sofa, or as lighting over the kitchen table.

This pendant also clearly reflects LYFA's ideology that form must follow function and not the other way around. At the bottom of the PEANUT there is a diffuser which can be removed if needed, should you want a more direct light on the dining table or workstation.

PEANUT is available in three different sizes, 175, 250, and 400.
