Design: Santi & Borachia for Astep
Concept: The SB Cinquantotto from Astep is one of the greatest prides of the Sarfatti family. Originally designed in 1958 by Carlo Santi & Vittorio Borachia, it has become a symbol of simplicity and elegance. Astep is now relaunching this beautiful pendant made of hand-blown glass, to pay tribute to founder of Arteluce Gino Sarfatti, who himself had the lamp hanging in the family summer house when the current owner Alessandro Sarfatti was a boy. The white, matte shade distributes the light in a very pleasant way and the lamp is the stylish choice for the dining table or entrance hall. The lamp is available in two sizes, with a diameter of 32 cm for a present expression or the smaller and slightly more discreet 20 cm diameter. Regardless, the design is liberatingly simple and fits perfectly in a home in the Nordic style.
